        The colon has three main parts: the right colon, transverse colon and left colon. Stool quality discharged by the stoma depends on the seat of it: if is it a right transverse colostomy, feces are semi-liquid or pasty, and if is it a left colostomy, feces are solid.

You can include: contact the nurse wich helped you in the hospital, find a nurse who works with a home care agency or contact your agent for colostomy supplies.

        The best way to stay updated about new products is to consult your ST (stomatherapeutic) nurse. You can also obtain information from support groups such as "United Colostomy Association of Canada, your doctor, or your agent supplies for colostomy. It is to your advantage to keep up with these changesa and to always use the equipment that suits you best.
